AXIOM DEBATE SUMMER CAMP (VIETNAMESE) is a series of Summer Camp in July 2019, hosted by The Global Citizen Vietnam. Three different debate summer camps will be held in three cities across Vietnam: Ha Noi, Hai Phong and HCMC. Our programs feature:


  • Practice-based learning: students will have 30% theory and 70% practice both in teams and individuals.

  • Student-centered teaching: students are encouraged to share their ideas and views freely with guidance from the trainer when needed.

  • Current-affairs focused: students are exposed to a wide range of issues from local ones (education, traffic, family, etc.) to international ones (war, economy, feminism etc.)


  • Number of days: 4 days

  • Dates:

    • Ha Noi: 8 July – 11 July

    • Ho Chi Minh City: 30 July – 2 August 

  • Language: Vietnamese – but students will encounter
    English terms eventually. 

  • Number of participants: 

    • 20 - 25 students: 01 Lead Trainer 

    • 26 – 35 students: 01 Lead Trainer + 1 Co-trainer

  • Best suited for: students from 14 – 18 years old

  • Tuition fee:

    • VND 4,200,000 per student (before 05 July for Hanoi, before 26 July for HCMC)

    • VND 3,900,000 per student (before 21 June)

Ngoc Tu Uyen Nguyen

A trailblazer in Vietnam's debate scene, Uyen has been providing workshops and talk shows for multiple schools and has worked with students from different regions and ages within Vietnam, helping them to hone their speaking and thinking abilities across different education platforms. In 2017, she was part of the content team that developed VTV7's popular education program "Truong Teen", of which she was also its first and only female judge.

It was at the Hanoi Amsterdam Debate Tournament 2015 organized by Puzzles Ams that Tuan Anh, also known as Dino, had the taste of his first debate victory and was crowned Champion and Best Speaker of the tournament. Even since, his love for debate has only heightened as he continues to hone his skills, participating in tournaments. Dino was not only a dedicated debater but also an experienced coach and adjudicator for prestigious local high school and university tournaments, camps such as the Aletheia Camp.
